ALL-ROUNDER
If are new to the game & bit confused what to go with then an All-Rounder Pokemon is the best. In a balanced Battle Type you can throw an All-Rounder at most situations. The list are Lucario, Machamp, Charizard, and Garchomp.
They can alter to fit into both an Attacker or Defender role in your team. In a battle All-Rounders prioritize harsh attack on Wild Pokémon before they go picking fights with the enemy team. However, they lack the same ranged attack skill as Attackers, which can quickly lead to disadvantageous battles. All-Rounders are capable of taking hits while retreating.
ATTACKERS
The Attackers of Pokémon Unite are currently Pikachu, Alolan Ninetales, Cramorant, Greninja, Venusaur, Cinderace, and Gardevoir. They are good at dealing heavy damages. Pokemons like Greninja can hit a few strong blows at very short ranges. The players in a team needs to rely on a strong line of All-Rounders & Defenders to dip behind and hit long-ranged attacks & others Pokemons will absorb the hits. One problem- an Attacker struggles with endurance and low health so it might happen that within a few hits, they will have KO. So, it is important for a player to communicate with a Defender if players want to play as an Attacker. This is to accompany them as support and to safeguard their retreat.
DEFENDERS
If a player wants to be able to wade into battle and protect their teammates from harm then a Defender is a great decision. Defenders such as Crustle, Snorlax, Slowbro are the best choice. When paired with Attackers, they make a great combination in the Top/Bottom lane as they defend goals and form effective walls. They prevent enemy goals and they have powerful crowd control capabilities. They can even break through enemy crowds by immobilizing them. This gives Speedsters and Attackers an opportunity to score by breaking through.
SPEEDSTERS
Pokemon Unite battle types explained. Speedsters are Pokémon with high mobility and often considered as the main scorer in a team because of their movement speed. Their high movement speed can make them out of sticky situations, when paired with Battle Items such as an Eject Button or X-Speed. Talonflame, Absol, Zeraora, and Gengar are low durability Pokemons.
SUPPORTER
Lastly don’t forget the Supporter as this is one of the key Battle Types to have in a match-up. They are able to buff allies by healing team members, & cause status conditions on enemies. Supporters include Wigglytuff, Mr. Mime or, Eldegoss. Throw a Supporter with an Attacker or an All-Rounder Pokemon in the Top/ Bottom lane & see the team work. This will ensure that they will help other team members perform their roles better. Due to low HP values, the Supporter need to be defended by other members.
